HOW TO TAKE OUR CLICK SPEED TEST (CPS)

Taking our click speed test is very easy. The way it works is:

  1. Select your desired test length, by default 5 seconds is selected and is one of the more common durations of these tests.
  2. Prepare yourself for the test in any way necessary. Reposition your hand, get comfortable in your seat, wipe your hands, whatever it may be.
  3. Start clicking within the large test area and the test will begin. BEWARE, the timer will begin counting down right when you click so you must be ready to continue clicking.
  4. Assess your results and try again for a better score or try a different test duration.

IS 5 SECONDS ENOUGH TO TEST MY CLICK SPEED?

Yes, 5 seconds is a common test length and will be able to give you a good idea into just how fast you can click. If you do not think you are not able to get a good read on your skills in just 5 seconds, you can choose one of our other durations.

HOW TO IMPROVE MY SCORE?

If you are not happy with your score there are certain things you can do to benefit your score. First and foremost, you need to have the right equipment. If your mouse is very old or cheap it is likely holding your true score back. Then you should address your sitting position, proper posture and hand and finger placement is key. If you are still struggling to get your score up you may just need to keep taking the test. You know what they say, practice makes perfect!

WHAT IS A GOOD SCORE FOR 5 SECONDS?

If you are taking the test and getting a CPS score of 8 or more, rest assured you are actually in the above average range. This would be 40 or more clicks in 5 seconds. If your CPS is between 6 and 8, or 30 and 40 clicks in 5 seconds, you are about average. Anything less than that is considered on the lower end.
